Our quarries in south east Queensland produce Sandstone, Granite, Porphyry, Basalt and Queensland Bush Rock
B-grade sandstone is a less refined product than A-grade in that it offers fewer cut faces. We try to maintain a basic rectangular pattern when building a retaining walls Brisbane (similar to the brick style pattern of a home). B-grade walls are suited more to a rustic or rural style setting.
Random - Grade Sandstone is a ‘by-product’ of our A and B Grade Sawn Sandstone Blocks – please be aware that Size and Shape will be irregular.
A-grade sandstone is cut in a couple of different forms. The most common is what we call course-sawn A-grade which is cut using a dry wheel at the quarry bed. The second type of A-grade is a wet-sawn diamond cut which is produced on the benches in the cutting shed.
